Merging of Culture and Love: Part 3

Later that day, Apoorva and Patrick hosted a beautiful Christian wedding ceremony that reflected both tradition and timeless elegance. Meaningful Christian elements were thoughtfully woven into the ceremony, perfectly complementing the refine aesthetic that defined the entire weekend.

Vows Overlooking Savannah

The couple exchanged vows on the lawn of The Westin Savannah Harbor Golf Resort. Overlooking Savannah across the river, the view was beautiful–matched only by the love and support surrounding them as they promised their lives to one another.

Here is some of what their friend and officiant, Claire, shared during their ceremony.

"I asked Apoorva and Patrick when they knew the other one “was the one,” and they both cited the same moment: the first Thanksgiving they spent together at each others’ family homes. They both recalled being incredibly nervous for this big day, but left it with a palpable feeling of support. They described the day as an

endless conveyer belt of smiles and warmth. Patrick recalled: “It felt like a foregone conclusion that if I was on Apoorva’s team, then [her family] was on mine.”

I now can’t think of Aporova without Patrick or Patrick without Apoorva. And the same holds true for their families. When Patrick was facing the most frightening news about his health, Sirisha and Madhav, Apoorva’s parents, were the first ones through the hospital door to wait with Patrick until others could arrive. And when Apoorva is without Patrick in Atlanta, she still joins the Speck Sunday dinners to see the rest of the family.

Apoorva and Patrick, It’s personally been such a privilege and joy to watch you grow together, watch you inspire and push each other to be your best selves, take risks, try new things - foods, languages, and organizational styles - and work to be your best selves possible.

Today marks the beginning of a new chapter. You both have worked hard to lay an amazing foundation for a beautiful future together. A foundation built on trust, support, laughter, flexibility, compromise, love, and joy. On behalf of the friends and family you have with you here today, we’re so excited to watch you continue to grow together, and for all the great things we know you will achieve.

An Elegant Wedding Reception

As the evening unfolded, guests were welcomed into a stunning reception. White-draped walls, a suspended floral installation above the dance floor and elegant topiaries set the tone for the celebration. Each table featured candles, coloring florals, and thoughtfully curated place settings, creating an elegant atmosphere.

One of the most touching moments of the night came during toasts, as friends and family shared stories of the couple and their deep love for one another. Laughter, tears and applause filled the room as heartfelt words and wishes for the future were offered.

A Multicultural Wedding Story

Documenting this Christian wedding ceremony alongside the Indian wedding highlighted the depth and beauty of Apoorva and Patrick’s multicultural celebration. Two days, two traditions, one story—captured honestly and without overcomplication.

Congratulations Apoorva and Patrick! We wish you a lifetime of happiness!
