A Lifelong Bond with Savannah

As soon as you hear Kim and Jarrett’s story you will fall in love with them and understand why their surprise elopement was so special. It all started with a special connection to Savannah. Kim has been coming to Savannah her whole life to visit her grandparents. Kim shares, ” . . . my Grandpa passed away in 2020, [and] my 97-year-old grandmother still lives on her own, staying active and vibrant with a busy social life”. Taking time to visit her grandmother is still a priority and this relationship sets the stage for a surprise Savannah elopement that will bring tears to your eyes.

Kim and Jarret’s love story began long ago. They grew up together and were best friends in high school but after Kim “friend-zoned” him they drifted apart. Years later, they reconnected, and it quickly became apparent the feelings they had were strong. Kim says, “We are soulmates on the deepest and rarest level”.

A Wedding Plan with One Missing Piece

Planning a wedding was exciting and the couple wanted to share their love and in an adventurous way, so they decided to get married in Mexico. However, one challenge could not be overcome: Kim’s 97-year-old grandmother was unable to travel to Mexico, and it was her dream to see Kim get married. Not willing to disappoint her Kim came up with the perfect solution. The couple realized they needed to legally marry in the U.S., so they chose Savannah as the perfect location for their formal vows. They decided to visit Kim’s grandmother and spend a day exploring the city while secretly turning it into their wedding day, with her grandmother serving as the witness at their ceremony.

A Morning to Remember in Forsyth Park

The morning of their surprise elopement, Kim and Jarret brought her grandmother to Forsyth Park. There, in front of the Fragrant Garden, the couple made a lifelong commitment to each other in front of one of the most important people in their lives.

The love story of Kim and Jarrett is full of patience, timing and the enduring power of love. While their wedding in Mexico will be full of memories, having a surprise elopement to share with their grandmother in Savannah will forever hold a special place in their hearts. Love is not only about grand gestures but is also found in the meaningful moments that are shared with those you love the most. Congratulations Kim and Jarrett, we wish you a lifetime of happiness.
