I had the honor of documenting the love story of Hannah and Keanu’s right from the start. It was a stunning evening on Tybee Island, located off the coast of Georgia. The sun was setting, painting the sky with breathtaking colors. As this couple in love strolled along the beach, they reminisced about how they met (at a military ball!) and the memories of their first dates. Then, with Keanu kneeling down and declaring his love, he asked Hannah to be his wife, to which she joyfully accepted!

The Ring: “I had no idea what I wanted, so thank goodness he has good taste. He had it custom-made at a local jeweler. It is a white gold and 2 carat oval-cut diamond ring with two side stones. It’s simple and elegant and totally fits my style!” (Hannah M.)

As Savannah locals, when it was time to choose a venue, Hannah and Keanu had no difficulty selecting the perfect location to exchange their wedding vows. The elegant charm and stunning gardens of the Harper Fowlkes House made it an effortless decision. Their small and personal ceremony took place in the garden, with Hannah’s father accompanying her down the aisle. There wasn’t a single person with dry eyes as she rested her head on her father’s shoulder before joining hands with Keanu to exchange vows.

While the guests were treated to a trolly tour of Savannah and the couple had portraits taken, the garden underwent a remarkable transformation into a sophisticated reception area. The bride and her mother dedicated months meticulously searching for vintage tableware to elevate the tablescape. With beautiful floral arrangements and delicious pastries, it set the perfect atmosphere for a delightful morning brunch.

During Hannah’s childhood, she and her family frequently visited the beach, yet they often experienced sunburns from their time in the sun. To address this issue, Hannah’s mom came up with a creative solution–organizing night parties on the beach. They would venture out to the beach in the evening, after sunset. Boogie boards and surf boards were painted with glow-in-the-dark paint and children wore glow necklaces so they could be seen. This allowed them to continue enjoying one of their favorite pastimes without worrying about sunburns. Hannah carried this cherished family tradition into her wedding day, ensuring the celebration lasted all day long!

Congratulations Hannah and Keanu. We wish you a lifetime of happiness!

*Tragically, Hurrican Helene ripped through the area just 48 hours before Hannah and Keanu’s wedding. The destructive storm resulted in widespread power outages and posed transportation issues for some wedding guests. Our thoughts and prayers continue to be with those impacted by this storm.*
