Emily + Jon | Savannah Destination Wedding | Westin Savannah Harbor

When I first talked to Emily + Jon about their wedding, they shared how a good cup of coffee was important to them.  Their love story began over a good cup of coffee and became a symbol of their love. So, it was only fitting that they incorporated their shared passion into their wedding day.

Despite the challenges of planning a destination wedding in Savannah, Georgia from a distance, Emily and Jon managed to create a flawless and memorable celebration.

Tucked behind the Westin Savannah is a beautiful lawn that overlooks the Savannah River and River Street.  Ivory and Beau perfectly placed a stunning arch of white roses just where the couple would exchange vows.  And behind that arch, was a coffee cart from Three Tree Coffee.  Throughout the reception they served up delicious cups of coffee and cold brew to the bride, groom, and their guests.  The baristas kept the coffee flowing all evening as the bride and groom celebrated their love for each other, and coffee. 

Her Look

Emily would be beautiful in anything but on her wedding day she was STUNNING!  Wearing a lace gown accompanied by a cathedral veil Jon couldn’t keep his eyes off his bride.  The love they shared was obvious with every look, smile, and small touch.  

Capturing the Day

With a career in journalism, Emily wanted their special day to be captured in a documentary fashion.  From the beginning of the day to the end, that was easy to do.  The bride and groom snuck away for a quiet drink at the bar–as well as a few cups of coffee–which resulted in amazing images.  Emily adores her grandmother and was intentional about spending time with her throughout the day.  Cocktail hour was a southern dream with a raw oyster bar where guests gathered around to offer congratulations to the new couple.  As the evening progressed, guests danced, laughed, and enjoyed a great party.  Every moment was captured to create a timeless reminder of the beginning of forever.
