When Southern Bride Magazine hosted a series of styled / editorial shoots in Charleston, I jumped at the chance to join the fun as a photographer.
What’s a styled shoot? It’s when wedding pros – planners, designers, florists, etc. – create the day of their dreams. Rather than designing for a client / wedding couple, the team designs a look born solely of their own creative vision. The resulting images showcase their unique talents and give future couples inspiration for their own wedding days.
And there was SO much glorious inspiration at The Cedar Room, where wedding planner Lauren Chambers-Tracy of Direct My Day created a colorful, bright summer garden party theme.
I was immediately drawn to the head table, where lush florals designed by Branch Studio made a large, magical tree-like installation, with small tea lights giving a soft glow. And in another fun twist, “groom” Evan Towell wore a full floral lapel, while “bride” Blythe Neal carried a beautiful loose bouquet by . A champagne tower and cake made by Tenacious Tart with florals that looked like a watercolor painting come to life created yet more stunning details.
SO much fun to get capture the work of truly amazing wedding pros!
