Daniela and Frank said their vows after sunset on New Year’s Eve at The Mackey House in Savannah.
The day was overcast, with rain predicted all afternoon into the evening. But spirits were high as both families and a host of friends gathered to celebrate this beautiful couple.
When the time came for photos, the rain had stopped but the grounds were wet. The Mackey House has gorgeous grounds, which had been unbelievably brought back to life after a deep freeze days earlier. Daniela’s dress had a train and she wore a cathedral veil. We decided to take a chance, carefully carry her dress and veil as she walked and place it down in ways to keep it as dry as possible.
The sun peeked out in the late afternoon, and by sunset, it was clear that the ceremony could take place in the garden, as planned. The florals for the day where white, the bridesmaids wore black, and the reception details were sleek, elegant, with blazing candles, Champagne tower and cold sparks to mark the entry of the newlyweds.
After moving toasts and a delicious dinner, the guests moved to the pavilion for dancing, which was lively right through midnight, when balloons dropped to celebrate the New Year.
Beautiful wedding captured beautifully.
