McKenzie + Andrew: Intimate wedding at The Cloiser on Sea Island

McKenzie and Andrew hosted an elegant, intimate wedding at The Cloister on Sea Island, fifty lush acres surrounded by river, salt marshes and the sea.

I had photographed McKenzie’s mom’s elopement in Savannah a few years back, and I was thrilled to get to see Sheree and Danny again.

After getting ready, McKenzie and Andrew had a first look just behind the main building. We strolled the grounds a bit before meeting to do family photos, and then heading to the chapel.

They said their vows just outside the chapel, with a string duet, who also played at the cocktail hour. After joining their guests for a drink – and bringing their pups out for a quick hello – they headed to the wine cellar for dinner, the table ablaze with candles surrounded by beautiful florals.

After a few sunset photos on the river, McKenzie and Andrew cut their cake before sitting down to dinner with their guests. It was … perfect.
