On the day of Anna Kate and Miles’ engagement session, the skies were grey, and clouds threatened to release rain on the happy couple. Despite the threat of rain, they ventured out in the city of Savannah and Bluff Drive to explore. Rain fell eventually, but Miles and Anna Kate’s ability to find joy and laughter in any circumstance led to such fun photos! The next day dawned sunny and clear and whole new opportunity for photos became available. Both days captured their enduring love story that will shine bright, resilient in the face of challenges.
Anna Kate and Miles decided to begin their Savannah wedding day on Bluff Drive, a hidden gem in the city. Located on Isle of Hope, this residential street is lined with historic mansions and live oak trees while providing unobstructed views of the Intercoastal Waterway. After a morning filled with joy and anticipation, Anna Kate slipped into her wedding gown which fitted her perfectly. She was excited to see her groom for an intimate first look. As Miles laid eyes on his bride for the first time, his smile was uncontrollable, as he enveloped her in hugs. Their love was obvious with every smile, gaze and touch.
Her Look: Her lace gown from Anthropologie boasted a plunging neckline with simple cap sleeves. The dress featured an open back that flowed into a delicate train. Anna Kate paired it with a long veil to enhance the elegance of her look.
After the photo session on Bluff Drive, the wedding party travelled to Victory North for Anna Kate and Miles’ ceremony and reception. The outdoor garden patio was filled with family and friends eager to witness the couple exchange vows. Accompanied by a string quartet, Anna Kate looked radiant as she walked down the aisle. Officiated by a family friend, the ceremony was filled with sentiment and love. Later, as the sun set, the couple and their guests enjoyed cocktail hour in the in the transformed courtyard.
The evening was filled with moments of joy and celebration. Miles and his mother both have a passion for music, leading her to compose a song for them to dance to at the reception. This heartfelt gesture took Miles by surprise, bringing tears to the eyes of everyone present. Guests from various backgrounds and stages of life came together to honor the couple. The gathering of childhood friends, college roommates, and former swim team members resulted in a lively and unforgettable celebration. As the night progressed, guests hit the dance floor, celebrating the newlyweds late into the evening. Congratulations Anna Kate and Miles! We wish you a lifetime of happiness.
