Megan and Blake’s luxury southern wedding at the Mackey House was marked by an abundance of color and an overwhelming sense of love. Their love story began more than ten years ago when they were introduced by mutual friends. It wasn’t love at first sight as Megan vividly remembers Blake’s outfit being utterly ridiculous and Blake was nervous to talk to Megan. However, after numerous chance encounters, they eventually went on their first date and the feelings began to blossom. After a decade of being together, Blake proposed to Megan during a romantic boat excursion in Italy. Reflecting on the moment, Megan reminisces, “He said no words and just held the ring out . . . We spent the rest of the boat ride enjoying our moment”.

Megan and Blake chose the picturesque and historic Mackey House for their luxury wedding venue. There are many stunning locations around this historical residence for capturing photographs. The bridal party had the chance to enjoy and celebrate moments of joy before the wedding ceremony. In the garden, Megan and Blake chose to have a first look, exchanged heartfelt letters with each other. Upon seeing his bride for the first time, Blake could not take his eyes off of her and her exquisite beauty. The elegance of the house provided beautiful settings for capturing couple portraits that are certain to adorn the walls of the newlyweds’ home. The yard and surrounding areas of the Mackey House were filled with love and laughter as the bridal party and family came together to capture more cherished moments of the day.

The excitement and joy of a wedding day are infectious. However, the moment of quiet intimacy between the bride and her father just before she walks down the aisle is truly special. The exchanged words of love, the smiles and often tears, serve as a testament to the deep affection within the family. This fleeting moment ends swiftly as the groom eagerly awaits his bride’s entrance. The garden path surrounded by trees was transformed into the perfect aisle for Megan to meet her groom. Underneath a beautifully adorned arch, Megan and Blake exchanged vows and celebrated their love.

Megan and Blake made the most of the stunning Mackey House gardens for their photos, reveling in their extraordinary beauty. They laughed, embraced and enjoyed the intimacy of time alone in the middle of a day celebrating with family and friends.

The setting sun casting a warm glow on the burnt orange glasses added to the elegant garden ambiance of the event. Each detail was perfectly planned and executed to harmoniously capture the essence of the day, creating a breathtaking setting to celebrate the newlyweds.
