After three years of dating, Seth and Allison were ready to take their relationship to the next level. Living in Savannah, he wanted a setting that reflected the city’s timeless beauty and historic charm, while still feeling private and intimate.
Finding a quiet, romantic location in Savannah that isn’t filled with tourists is no easy task. With guidance from the Esther Griffin Photography team–and a few ideas of his own–Seth carefully scouted several locations around the city. After multiple visits, he found the perfect spot: the private garden at The Gastonian.
Tucked away in the heart of the historic district, the lush garden and secluded courtyard of this classic Savannah inn created the ideal setting for a romantic proposal. Knowing this was a once-in-a-lifetime moment, Seth thoughtfully planned every detail with Allison in mind–from a stunning oval diamond engagement ring to a live violinist and a celebratory dinner afterward.
When the moment finally arrived, Seth dropped to one knee and pulled the ring from a special sock (you can find one here), adding a personal and playful touch to the proposal. Allison’s joyful reaction–and her enthusiastic “yes”–made every moment of planning worth it.
