Summer + Beau’s Intimate Wedding on St. Simon’s Island
Summer and Beau’s stunning elopement at Sea Island is what dreams are made of. Their romantic love story began in high school when they first met despite attending rival schools. Although they didn’t start dating until college, the spark was there from the very beginning. Summer recalls telling her friends shortly after meeting Beau, “I’m going to marry him one day”.
Over the next ten years, the couple built a strong relationship, at time from long-distances. “Over the course of our ten-year relationship, that feeling [that I wanted to marry her] grew stronger”, Beau shared.
The proposal took place on the beach in San Diego, where Beau completely surprised Summer. He set up a romantic tent filled with flowers and champagne, then got down on one knee and asked her to be his wife. It was the perfect start to their next chapter.
Planning a Romantic Elopement at Sea Island
When it came time to choose their wedding location, Sea Island on St. Simon’s Island, Georgia felt like the perfect fit. The couple had visited during a work trip and quickly fell in love with the area’s breathtaking beauty. With the pristine beaches and gracious hospitality, Sea Island felt like someting out of a movie.
Summer and Bea chose to have a small, intimate wedding–a meaningful celebration that allowed them to focus on personal touches and details that told their unique love story.
Getting Ready: Glamour and Sentimental Moments
Summer got ready in one of the resort’s charming cottages. Her gown featured a deep neckline and intricate lace accents that blended glamour and romance beautifully. Spending quiet moments with her mother while getting ready creating memories she will cherish forever while a heartfelt first look with her father was full of emotion and love.
A First Look, Family, and Their Dog Budd
Before the ceremony, the couple shared a private first look in an outdoor courtyard–one of Sea Island’s many stunning locations. Including their dog, Buddy, in the wedding was important, and he made the day even more special. From joyful laughs to unforgettable memories, every moment was filled with love.
