A Love Story That Came Full Circle
Chad and Katherine’s wedding at King and Prince Resort on Jekyll Island, along the coast of Georgia, was a beautiful celebration of love and family. The two knew each other in high school, but life took them in different directions. When their lives crossed again years later, they reconnected and it wasn’t long before Chad planned a thoughtful proposal.
After a romantic dinner in Savannah, Chad and Katherine enjoyed a pedicab ride to Forsyth Park. In front of the fountain, Chad got down on one knee and Katherine remembers “he was so emotional he could barely get the words out–but he didn’t need to”. The moment was perfect!

The couple intentionally focused on family at their beach wedding, perfectly balanced elegance and modern flair. The bridesmaids wore classic navy, creating a stunning contrast against the soft tones of the reception and the white floral arrangements.

The King and Prince Resort, one of our favorite coastal venues to photograph, was the perfect setting for their wedding day. This Jekyll Island venue offers oceanfront views, historic charm, and elegant spaces that always photograph beautifully. Whether we’re capturing portraits along the beach framed by the resort’s Mediterranean-inspired architecture, or beneath the warm island light, every corner of this property photographs beautifully. Returning to the King and Prince always feels special—its natural beauty and timeless character make each wedding here feel unique.
Family at the Heart of the Celebration
Family was at the heart of Katherine and Chad’s day, and their children played a meaningful role throughout the celebration. From sweet first looks to special moments throughout the day, their children were part of it all. It’s always special documenting a wedding where family takes center stage.
