A self-proclaimed nerdy couple found love and planned an epic wedding in Savannah at the Railroad Museum. Max and Hannah’s paths unexpectedly crossed on the popular dating app, Tinder. Ironically, Hannah had grown weary of not finding her soulmate and decided that it would be her final day on Tinder, coinciding with Max’s first day on the app. Upon coming across Hannah’s profile, Max wasted no time asking her out. Hannah recollects, “I wanted to meet him that night, but Max told me ‘I already have on my home-pants’ so we agreed for the next day.” Before the night drew to a close, Max had already sensed that Hannah was someone truly special, and he candidly expressed “I’d like to keep dating you indefinitely”.
They fell in love quickly, and knew marriage was the next step. Hannah was unaware of how soon Max would propose, but through clever tactics, a few white lies and some undisclosed details, Max managed to surprise Hannah with an unforgettable proposal during a camping tripl. Instead of the traditional question, he held on to their special phrase and expressed, “I would like to stay with you indefinitely”. What took so long? Max designed a ring that perfectly matched Hannah’s uniqueness, featuring a London blue topaz surrounded by diamonds, with the word indefinitely engraved on the band. They describe themselves as best friends who happen to be madly in love–a truly ideal couple to celebrate on their wedding day!
Hannah and Max hosted their epic wedding at the Georgia State Railroad Museum in Savannah. Constructed in 1853, the original structure has undergone restoration and preservation, resulting a breathtaking location for a wedding in Savannah. The railroad complex and terminal buildings showcase historical elements, such as a partial roundhouse and impeccably resorted locomotives. The rich historical ambiance perfectly matched the couple’s desired atmosphere for their special day. Hannah personally designed and crafted her wedding gown. Each intricate detail, including the flowing, colorful underskirt, added a touch of enchantment that beautifully contrasted with the backdrop of the antique railcars.
Getting married at a railroad museum entails an unspoken expectation to photograph the bride and groom amidst the refurbished train cars. The roundhouse is filled with various locomotives undergoing restoration, offering countless opportunities for distinctive and captivating photographs. Max and Hannah also made the most of the historic building surrounding the Railroad Museum. They enjoyed the gentle sunlight while dancing, strolling and stealing a private and romantic moment. Hannah and Max thoroughly relished the experience, resulting in epic wedding photos that not only showcase their beauty but embody their love and personality.
The venue itself was absolutely stunning, and the ceremony and reception matched its magnificence. Hannah and Max tied the knot in the Machine Shop, an open courtyard of the railroad museum, their vows symbolizing their love and commitment to stay together indefinitely. Following the ceremony, guests were welcoming into the transformed Blacksmith Shop for an epic wedding celebration. The room was adorned with gold and silver accents, complimented by rich hues of wine, navy and purple. Each detail was highlighted with candles illuminating the room from above and adorning the tables. Hannanah and Max created an epic wedding experience for their cherished guests.
Congratulations Hannah and Max. We wish you a lifetime of happiness.
