Travelling to Charlottesville to capture photos of a stunning wedding at Keswick Vineyard was a dream!

I love a destination wedding—and it’s a good thing. Many of my couples choose Savannah for that very reason. Occasionally, when I have captured a couple’s engagement, I am fortunate enough to be included in their wedding day, even if it takes place in a different city. The thrill of traveling to capture a wedding in a new location is exciting. It is a delightful challenge to explore a new destination and discover the ideal spots for photographs. I am never disappointed by the captivating settings of these destination weddings.

Take for example, Kerri and Glenn. We began capturing their love story in the beautiful city of Savannah. The pictures taken along Factor’s Walk, Forsyth Park and throughout the historic district not only show the affection for each other but also exemplify the enjoyment they share as a couple.

I anticipated an incredible experience when Kerri and Glenn extended an invitation for me to join their destination wedding celebration at Keswick Vineyard. The venue itself was breathtaking, with magnificent rolling hills and vineyards. Each view served as a picturesque background for capturing romantic moments. During the rehearsal, the couple’s decision to bring their adorable puppy along added a touch of joy and carefree spirit, as evidenced by the delightful photos captured.

The wedding day dawned with clear skies, illuminating Edgewood Estates and casting shimmering reflections on the fountains. Steel Cut Florist skillfully composed exquisite bouquets and floral arrangements, enhancing the day’s beauty. Only Kerri’s radiance could rival the majestic Blue Ridge Mountains Keswick Vineyards that surrounded her.

Prior to the ceremony, the bride and groom opted to share a private and intimate moment together. And I must ask, could there be anything more beautiful than a bride and groom strolling through meticulously lined rows of grape vines? Following the ceremony, we seized the opportunity provided by the setting sun and captured additional photographs in the enchanting fading light. The Virginia countryside was never as resplendent as when it played host to the newly united couple.

The couple exchanged vows in front of the estate and celebrated with loved ones in an elegant tent surrounded by the Keswick Vineyard. From beginning to end, the day was perfect.
