The Mackey House | Southern Charm for Your Luxury Wedding

The gardens, walkways and fountains offer more private locations for the couple to have a first look or exchange private vows before the ceremony. At every corner, there lies a distinct and equally captivating location to enjoy.

Located behind the mansion is an open lawn where the wedding ceremony is held. A paved aisle divides the lawn and ends at a beautiful white gazebo. Surrounded by nature, with lush trees and vibrant flowers, the wedding ceremony becomes even more extraordinary. Afterward, all the guests are invited to gather around the fountain for a group photo, creating a cherished memory of the day.

Beyond the lawn, lies a terrace flanked by trees, while on the other side stands a double-sided fireplace. It is a perfect spot to relax and have a drink from the bar while engaging in conversations with old friends. My favorite space is the open-air pavilion. It offers shelter under a roof, yet allows you to fully appreciate the beauty of Savannah. One portion of the pavilion is adorned with a glass roof, allowing sunlight to stream in during the day and providing a view of the stars at night–it’s as if you are embracing the outdoors. As the night progresses and it’s time to dance, many couples invite their guests to the Grand Veranda. This exquisite space features skylights that create the illusion of an endless sky. Dance the night away with breathtaking views that surpass the height of the surrounding trees!
